Health Science Club

HEALTH SCIENCE

The Health Science Program is a part of the division of Career/Technical Education. 

The purposes of the program is
to introduce students to the healthcare system 
assist students in making realistic career decisions
develop students' leadership skills
prepare students for acceptance in postsecondary healthcare program and/or employment in healthcare jobs

Students may begin the program in the 10th grade by taking Foundations of Health Science.  Students who want to progress in the program may do so after completing an application.  As Juniors or Seniors, students may take Therapeutic Services.  By their Senior year students may take the final class in the program which is Internship; this class includes a clinical component and affiliates with the national student organization, HOSA.  Seniors may also choose to take the Senior Project class.
